Objective:
To improve workflows and provide advice as to their implementation to primary partners during the testing period and to 'early adopters' following the launch of the service, in close collaboration with staff responsible for embedding the EThOS service within these institutions e.g. Librarians, IT personnel, registrars and academic staff. This will be done via and upgraded interactive toolkit.
WP4 will undertake to:-
- analyse the current EThOS toolkit
- collaborate with project partners to identify the necessity for developing new areas of content
- implement the new toolkit
- develop a strategy for sustainable support and ongoing development of the toolkit
- integrate the toolkit into the EThOS service
Simon Bevan has been involved with e-theses for over 10 years, originally with UTOG (University Theses Online Group). He has represented Cranfield University on the JISC/FAIR e-theses project (led by The Robert Gordon University) and was a WP Leader in the JISC-funded EThOS project. At Cranfield he chaired the committee responsible for the recommendation of mandatory submission of electronic theses and so has a full understanding of the institutional issues around implementing e-theses.
